Very cool! Is that a little *sign* under the arrow on the upright wooden post? Do you know what it says?

it says please keep your dog on a lead LOL - those signs are everywhere over there!

Thanks for the enlargement: of *course* it would be an exhortation about dogs! What does "S.C.C." stand for?

Somerset or Sedgemoor County Council? Dogs need to be on leads as the footpath goes through farmland and the livestock has to be protected from dogs who like to round them up.

This stile is on my property!
it leads into our field!
the reason the sign is there is because it runs through farmland and puts animals at risk as there have been many dog attacks on sheep in the field below us!
