.... so we have read that there is nothing special happening in Wellington for the release of "The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug". The thing is that this is where the movies were made, and therefore, OH and I have just booked flights to join in with whatever celebrations they will be having. We're hoping there will be a midnight screening of the movie, and we will be going to the "Costume Party" hosted by Red Carpet Tours. We will fit in a trip to Weta, Te Papa Museum and Mt Victoria where the scene "Get off the Road" was filmed. (That was in "Fellowship of the Ring"). This will be a celebration for New Zealand .... I'm happy we can join them even if stars like RA will be on the other side of the world.
