Edit for 2005: Now that it is 2005 the above calcutions do not give the right answer. If you change step 5 to: "If you have already had your birthday this year add 1755.... If you haven't, add 1754" it works correctly.
Tvindy appears to be running a meme where he is posting photos of strange insects of the stinging and colourful variety. Well, I had a look in the garden today in order to photograph something of interest and all I could find were slaters - no spiders or other biting or stinging creatures. One of our trees did produce this fruit last summer - can you guess what it is supposed to be?

In my boredom I discovered a quick quiz entitled Australian Slang Quiz 1 from ESL Quiz Center (US spelling). How good are you at interpreting the language? Be warned off straying into "Kev's Down Under Dictionary" - some of the contents are a bit strong.
